This is a possible scheme of hundreds of possible combinations. You can connect all kinds of elements to the modules. This scheme is explained in the footnotes.
The combination of all GroLab modules provides a control capability never seen before. The modules communicate with each other simulating the operation of a brain. This capability offers the grower the ability to replicate its physical abilities in GroLab performing hundreds of tasks simultaneously.
Up to 2300W connected directly to PowerBot (by socket and total), or unlimited power using electrical contactors.
Connect any electric element to PowerBot and configure it to control your crop’s climate. It automates extractors, heaters, humidifiers and / or dehumidifiers, etc. Its temperature and moisture sensor will send all the information to PowerBot in order to maintain the microclimate completely stable.
-The SoilBot moisture sensors monitor the substrate’s moisture. This allows plants to feed themselves when they need while minimizing the consumption of water and fertilizer.
-It controls the irrigation of multiple crops using the substrate moisture sensors. Thus, smaller plants with a lower absorption rate will not receive the same amount of water and nutrients as the larger ones.
-TankBot will activate electrovalves with which you can irrigate groups of plants separately using one sole water pump. You can also connect multiple water pumps to PowerBot to enable irrigation per area.
-PowerBot will receive the order to activate the water pump(s) and / or 220v electrovalve(s) when the plants so order.
- Turn off electrical elements that hinder safety at specific times.
- Ensure that the temperatures do not exceed the logical limits and act accordingly.
- Cut water flow to prevent flooding.
- Disable lighting if your plants are not getting the water they need in order to avoid drying.
- Check the soil and avoid flooding (by disconnecting the irrigation and electrical devices that threaten safety).
- Emit a loud beep if a safety alarm is detected.
- Send notices to the computers connected to the local network enabled with GroLab Software.

Your imagination is the limit. You can add up to 4 modules of each type for each GroNode (the brain).
4 PowerBots equal 16 independent electrical connectors and four temperature and moisture sensors which can control up to 4 independent growing areas.
4 SoilBots provide 16 substrate moisture sensors with which to control multiple groups of plants. 8 substrate temperature sensors and 8 flood detectors. Each SoilBot Box comes with 2 moisture sensors, 1 temperature sensor and 1 flood detector. You can add the extra sensors you need.
4 TankBots provide you with the possibility of controlling up to 16 sensors of your choice (sensors that act as a switch) and 16 12- or 24-volt actuators with a maximum of 5 Watts per output (delivered with one 12v transformer).
This scheme was designed to illustrate some of the control possibilities for each module. Keep in mind that the scheme is limited to the number of modules included in the kit. You can add extra modules (GroNode supports up to 4 modules of each type) and expand your control with new features.
GroNode communicates with all modules through radio frequency signals. It stores all the configurations, receives information from the sensors, and sends orders to each module.
PowerBot activates electrical elements. In this case, it controls the lighting, extraction of stale and/or hot air, activates the water pump and, lastly, the humidifier. Both the extractor, as well as the humidifier are activated in accordance with the data collected through its temperature and moisture sensor.
SoilBot controls the substrate temperature and moisture of two separated crops. Each crop has specific parameters that activate irrigation in accordance with the collected information. Its flood detector is responsible for controlling the soil by activating safety protocols should water be detected.
